Unicist reflection to inhibit Zero Sum Strategies

I am pleased to inform that a paying forward action to inhibit the multiplication of Zero Sum Strategies has been launched by the Unicist Goodwill Network.

Minimum Strategies are Zero Sum Strategies. That is why they have to be used after a Maximal Strategy, which provides added value, has been implemented.

The zero sum approach multiplies when Minimum Strategies are used to approach reality without having a Maximal Strategy as a counterpart.  They provoke a Zero Sum Effect that degrades actions and fosters the involution of the environment.

Zero Sum approaches need to be unconscious because individuals seek for profit without adding value. Only psychopaths or sociopaths can do that.

The antidote is simple but not easy.  It requires a unicist reflection process (action-reflection-action) that allows integrating value adding strategies with Zero Sum Strategies making an adaptive process possible.

Working with the wisdom of people

This synthesis is a foundation and justification of why, when dealing with strategic or conceptual aspects of work, it is necessary to work with the wisdom those that are participating have, in order to upgrade solutions to generate value. Everyone has some aspect in which s/he is wise, and this wisdom generates the context in which her/his behavior is adaptive.

Unicist Ontology of Doers

Almost 40 years ago I had the opportunity to develop an organizational process in a midsize organization which drove me to meet the people who drove the operation of their open salt mine.

These people demonstrated, without needing to demonstrate, that their leaders, even though they had hardly completed their elementary school, had the wisdom that is reserved for the “chosen ones”.

It was an extremely productive work, which was just the demonstration that there is no necessary relation between scholarship and wisdom. Scholarship might provide erudition, but wisdom needs to be earned step by step and brick by brick.

I never forgot this experience, which led me to the decision to always work with the wise part every individual has when dealing with the conceptual or strategic aspects of businesses.

Wisdom is a pathway with many masters

WisdomWisdom can be defined as the capacity of an individual to integrate idealism and realism with value adding actions.

Wisdom is a state that requires focusing on specific aspects of reality using questions to apprehend their nature and having the necessary knowledge of the environment in order to generate value.

Wisdom cannot be overcome because the nature of some aspect of reality has been understood and can be influenced.

But it has to be considered that wise people do not compete with others to have a place in the world. They earned their place in the world. That is why they remain masters in the field in which they are wise.

The characteristic of individuals who achieved wisdom is that they had multiple masters that had an authoritative role in their lives. These roles are still in force and the masters are still admired.

Admiration and functional envy are the concepts that allow achieving wisdom. Individuals who admire others’ achievements and deeds have the opportunity to achieve wisdom, but only if they pursue the objective of adding value in an environment. The functional envy drives individuals to achieve goals.

Individuals with conflictive relations with authority can never achieve wisdom. They might be extremely erudite, extremely efficient workers but they will never be able to integrate idealism and realism with a value-adding attitude in their environment.

The apparent paradox of wisdom is the need of multiple masters. It is said that disciples are those learners who overcome their teachers. But wisdom, defined as the space where an individual has been able to integrate idealism and realism with value adding actions, cannot be overcome.

Competing with an authority in a field where she/he is wise is a demonstration that the need to gain supersedes the need to add value. The existence of multiple masters make wisdom possible.

Achieving wisdom cannot be a goal for a wise person; wisdom is the consequence of the action of an individual but does not cause it. It is unwise to try to achieve wisdom.

That is why wisdom is a pathway with multiple masters. Masters are ordinary or extraordinary people who have achieved wisdom in some field. Look for them while you continue adding value.

To achieve wisdom you need to abandon your modesty and expand your humbleness.  Wise people do not need to be right, they just have to be functional.

What is the difference between Wisdom and Erudition?

Erudition

EruditionErudition is not analogous to wisdom; it is fallacious version of wisdom. Wisdom implies action while erudition does not.

Erudition is an addiction that drives people to build a parallel hypothetical reality where they consider themselves wise. It is a frequent addiction of rationally gifted individuals.

They are driven by envy which makes them accumulate data they use to judge the originators of the data while they try to demonstrate to others that they are wise.

This allows them confronting with others in their hypothetical reality and feel that their judgments make them wise.

They manipulate in order to ensure that their hypothetical reality prevails over actual facts.

Opinators: The pseudo-erudites

Opinators are individuals whose goal is to impose their opinions in their area of influence in order to obtain full recognition for their personal opinions.

OpinatorsThey use their pre-concepts to deal with reality and blame others for all what becomes dysfunctional when failure follows their groundless opinions.

Erudites are their implicit role model, although they do not have the energy to acquire the knowledge in order to have the rational information.

They suffer from innovation blindness, therefore they disregard any information that endangers the validity of their pre-concepts. That is why they cannot deal with the fundamental knowledge of things and always build an hypothetical solutions under the motto “why not”.

Opinators are fundamentalists in their field of influence who install “suspicion and doubt” on any action that endangers their subjective dominant position.

When they are very smart, they are notorious manipulators.

Conclusion

If you need to develop solutions in adaptive environments, you will need to work with the wisdom of people, and be aware of “Erudites and Opinators” who will try to foster hypothetical solutions in order to leave things the way they were before, while blaming others for what they cannot do.

European Crisis: Fundamental Analysis is coming back 1

The European Crisis demonstrated a lack of risk management in the wide sense. Fundamental analysis has been left aside. Fundamental analysis is based on the ontological structures of a functional entity and allows forecasting its behavior. When it is integrated with technical analysis it provides fully reliable information for risk management.

Fundamental analysis was an early technology to manage opportunities and risks, but mathematical solutions were consistent enough to displace and transform it into a subjective and perhaps intuitive approach to opportunity/risk management.

Unicist Ontology of Biological Entities

The unicist ontology of a “biological entity” defines its structure and functionality in an environment.

The genotype defines the genetic structure of the entity that rules its evolution and generates the phenotype of the being.  The objective of the genotype is to ensure the permanence of species, it reproduction and production.

The phenotype defines the morphologic, behavioral and materialistic characteristics of the entity. It defines the functional characteristics, the functional power of the entity and the functional assurance.

Functionality defines the effectiveness of the phenotype measured as the consequence of the adaptation of the biological entity to the environment. Functionality is measured in the capacity of adapting and growing on the one hand, and surviving, on the other hand.

The understanding of the ontology of “biological entities” helps to follow the laws of nature when dealing with genetic engineering processes and use it to apprehend the nature of beings with “artificial life” such as institutions.

Functionality of Fallacious Myths in Cultures and Business

Fallacious myths are social constructions to avoid the disgregation of a group or community, hindering the perception of significant dysfunctional behaviors.

Fallacious myths are necessarily built to cover:

a)      Implicit weaknesses that cannot be accepted.
b)      Weaknesses that cannot be solved nor faced.

They transform social chronic dysfunctions into acceptable characteristics.

Fallacious myths are necessary to build cohesion

Humans integrate based on their weaknesses and collide based on their strengths. This is self-evident, although it is also a taboo.

But in extreme cases people cannot explicitly accept that they join based on their weaknesses.

Fallacious myths are built to join people without needing to face taboos. Their purpose is to integrate people in spite of existing unbearable weaknesses.

Groups would disgregate if the fallacious myths had not have been built.

That is why they are extremely functional in any culture.

The Ontology of Fallacious Myths

The purpose is disgregation avoidance. Therefore no interaction with the “external” environment is necessary. As no interaction is necessary, utopias do not need to foster actions.

Their utopias are apparent active functions that are coincident with the energy saving fallacies. As they are coincident, no action is necessary and the fallacious myths avoid disgregation without requiring any action.

The interaction happens among the members of a group. The purpose of this interaction is to confirm the validity of the fallacious myths. People who do not share the fallacious myths of a culture are aliens and cannot be part of the group.

Origin of the Unicist Standard for Ontological Management

The Unicist Research Institute changed the paradigm of the complexity research focused on human individual, institutional and social evolution.

The Unicist Standard for complexity research was developed based on the characteristics of adaptive systems considered in their complexity.

Some of their characteristics are:

Unicist Mechanics and Quantum Mechanics are homologous

The unicist unified field

The unicist approach deals with reality considered as a unified field. This unified field is defined by the extrinsic and intrinsic concepts that have been discovered. These unicist concepts are the unicist ontology that defines and regulates the nature of the entity that is being dealt with.

This unified field is defined by a credibility zone when we deal with extrinsic concepts and by a functionality zone when dealing with intrinsic concepts.

Every being can be described by the three principles and functions that define it. It has a purpose, an action principle and an energy conservation principle.

These three elements are integrated in its oneness considering a specific functionality in the environment. Every reality, considered from a functional point of view, has a unique essential structure.

The credibility or functionality zone behaves like a “micro-cosmos”. Its functionality is compatible and homologous to what is known as quantum mechanics.

The active function works as “waves” and the energy conservation function works as “particles”.

A particle is an object which is sub-atomic and has a definite mass and charge.

A wave is a disturbance that propagates through space and time, usually with transference of energy.

This implies that a given reality works as “waves and particles”.

Consequences:

1)      The maximal strategies are based on the influence exerted by the energy of waves.
2)      The minimum strategies are based on the action of particles.
3)      Backward-chaining thinking is based on waves.
4)      Forward-chaining thinking is based on particles.
5)      Evolution is triggered by the spontaneous use of waves to adapt to reality.
6)      Involution is triggered by the spontaneous use of particles to adapt to reality.

Unicist Mechanics and Quantum Mechanics

Unicist Mechanics and Quantum Mechanics are homologous in their wave-particle dualistic structure.

We just presented the structure of their homology and several examples to make the homology vivid. The unicist ontological structures, as sub-atomic structures and viruses, leave no fossils.

That is why they cannot be materialistically grasped. They need to be apprehended in their nature and measured in their results. Influencing nature implies the recognition of this fact.

Timing is a basic condition for business growth

Taxonomies define the logical steps of work processes. Business taxonomies define the steps that have to be followed to achieve results.  Timing is the integration of acceleration and speed to achieve the necessary synchronicity to achieve results.

The economy of energy in businesses depends on the accuracy of the use of their taxonomies. Shortcuts produce paradoxical results. They always drive towards the most expensive pathways.

To be able to follow the logical steps in work it is necessary to have an action speed that is synchronic with the environment.

Businesses are like a moving train that one wants to catch. It is necessary to run at the train’s speed. If one runs slower it cannot be caught. If one runs faster one wastes lots of energy and achieves no results. One’s speed has to be synchronic with the train’s speed.

It is needed to have the necessary acceleration to jump on it when one reached the right place to catch it. But this acceleration requires having the necessary courage and force to do so.

The paradox appears when one intends to take a seat in the train. Instead of finding a seat one is again on a platform trying to catch the next train which is the next business.

Timing can be trained. But the vocation to catch moving trains, representing doing businesses, cannot be trained. It has to be there.

Reliability is the core of Institutionalized Businesses

Reliability is basic for teamwork and implies that people work back to back to solve complex problems. Reliability is a basic condition for spirit de corps building and therefore a precondition for institutionalization.

Spartans behavior in war is a paradigmatic example of reliability.

It is a demonstration of its effectiveness and at the same time it shows the need of transcendent objectives for the group participants.

That is why it is a demonstration of the importance of reliability in institutionalization processes.

Reliability implies that people are available to develop value adding actions when they are needed.

It requires having assumed the responsibility of repairing the damages produced by the errors of individuals. This amendment has to cover both the objective and subjective aspects.

The catalyst and entropy inhibitor of reliability is the capacity of individuals to repair the damages produced to others who were affected by the lack of reliability.

Reliability allows growth and sustains institutionalization. It ensures the value added to external clients and the effectiveness of the organization. The implementation of reliability systems is basic to ensure business expansion and institutionalization.

Unicist Ontology to Manage Artificial Adaptive Systems

Ontology describes the nature of some aspect of reality. The Unicist ontology is an ontological approach based on the Unicist ontogenetic intelligence of nature.

It describes the essential structure of a given reality following the structure of the ontogenetic intelligence. This allows researching and defining the nature of artificial adaptive systems in order to influence them.

The Unicist ontology defines the fundamentals of an artificial adaptive system that define the possibility to influence it. The field of possibilities is called the “credibility zone”.

Human action has to occur within this field of possibilities. The probability to produce a concrete result depends on the capacity to focus the actions on the fundamentals within the limits of a minimum strategy established by a systemic approach.
