Evolution of societies

Discovery of the Unicist Technology for Trend Building

Trend building is perhaps the most complex process in the business world. It is a paradigmatic example of complexity.

Trend BuildingThe first trend building process developed by our organization occurred in 1981. Since then multiple trends were installed having more or less influential power in the social, political, technological and business fields. The final trend building technology could be confirmed in 2013.

Trend building is a “must” when innovations need to be introduced in a market. Basically, there are two different types of trends:

1)  Natural trends produced in a context

2)  Artificial trends stimulated by human actions

Trends need to have a level of energy to allow using them “as a wave” in order to “surf” on them. Natural waves have a higher level of energy than artificial trends.

There are multiple types of trends:

  1. Produced by new technologies
  2. Produced by the satisfaction of needs
  3. Produced by changes in the gravitational force
  4. Produced by changes in the catalysts
  5. Produced by restrictions of the environment
  6. Produced by the disequilibrium of the functionality of concepts that underlie a given reality
  7. Produced by mutations of conceptual structures
  8. Produced by the influence of changes in homologous fields
  9. Produced by changes in he sub-concepts of a field
  10. Produced by extreme conflicts

Artificial trends are built by installing expectancies based on an authoritative context that provides “gravitational legitimacy” and having the necessary influence to accelerate the process.

The success of a trend building process depends on the capacity of installing the necessary propagation speed that makes this process commercially feasible.

This technology requires using semiotic and semantic objects in order to achieve the necessary propagation speed. Full success will have been achieved when the artificial trend becomes a natural trend.

Discovery of cultural over-adaptation and its consequences

Over-adaptation implies stagnation. The stagnation is a consequence and over-adaptive behaviors are the drivers that generate stagnation.

An over-adaptive behavior is part of any expansive (adaptive) process.

Cultural expansion requires being able to influence the environment and then use the over-adaptive behavior in order to save energy.

It requires being able to influence the environment in a way that generates growth.

When this influential attitude does not exist, whatever the reasons, the over-adaptive process has begun.

This necessarily generates stagnation in the environment. Standing still in an environment that is evolving produces involution measured in terms of the vital space that is being occupied in the context.

Envy is the driver of poverty, conflicts and involution

Envy is perhaps the most powerful justifier for human degrading and destroying actions. It is a necessary consequence of inferiority and superiority complexes.

The purpose of envy is to generate pleasure through destruction. It is based on the “greed” individuals feel and is sustained by jealousy driven relationships. The research on the nature of envy used the Buddhist concept as an input.

Envy works at a non-conscious level. The benefit envious people search for is the access to a better place in the world. That is why they destroy by tanking advantage of the envied. When they cannot do it, whatever the reason, they need to deny the envied existence, killing them it by exclusion.

Envy necessarily produces poverty and extreme conflicts (including wars) when the environment resists its degradation or destruction. It is the essential driver of any fundamentalism.

Envy cannot be rationally accepted by the envious. Therefore, it is substituted by the feeling of jealousy or the feeling of injustice and the need of repair.

Over-adapted cultures generate, because of their lack of possibilities to adapt, a context for envy driven actions. In these cultures envy is accepted as a characteristic which is sustained by fallacious myths to avoid its perception.

As it generates involution, the segments of a culture where it is installed as a characteristic are continuously struggling for survival. These contexts suffer cyclical crises that can only be palliated increasing the need for over-adaptive behavior.

Adaptive behavior is the natural context that inhibits the existence of envy.

Unicist ontology to apprehend the nature of an object

The unicist ontology defines the nature of entities. It defines their purpose, their active function and their energy conservation function. These three elements are integrated in their oneness following the complementation and supplementation laws.

It is a structural functionalist approach that belongs to the field of complexity science and emulates the ontogenetic intelligence of nature.

An example is the unicist ontology of a person. The apprehension of this entity is based on:

1)      The active function, the appearances, can be observed.

2)      The energy conservation function, the doings, can be perceived.

3)      The purpose, the being, needs to be intuited.

4)      Their integration in their oneness requires using double dialectical thinking within a reflection process.

Some of these concepts are counterintuitive for adults. For example that appearance is an active function and that doings cannot be observed but only perceived. That is why humbleness and experiencing reality is basic to avoid conflicts with counterintuitive concepts.

To apprehend the nature of an entity it is necessary to have a preexisting sound knowledge, having experienced it to start a reflection process. The final step is the development of the necessary destructive and non-destructive tests until the definition has demonstrated that it suffices to forecast the evolution of the entity.

Unicist Anthropology: a breakthrough by Peter Belohlavek

Unicist Anthropology is the complexity scientific approach to human behavior and the structural analysis of individuals’ deeds in order to forecast their evolution.

This R&D e-book on Unicist Anthropology by Peter Belohlavek has been published and is included in the Unicist Standard – Country Future Research Search Engine.

It surveys not only the evolution of Man as a species and as an individual but also the evolution of his institutions. It studies Man, his actions and his transcendence as “a unified field”.

Its main tool is the application of the Unicist Theory of Evolution, the Unicist Logic, and the laws of evolution of individuals, institutions and culture.

It studies the most intrinsic and extrinsic concepts that operate as “drivers” of cultures and individuals to use them as a basis for the causal-conceptual description of a reality in order to forecast it.

Unicist Anthropology conceptually structures taboos, myths and utopias that influence man’s actions.

Its main objective is to forecast the behavior of individuals, institutions and cultures so as to basically influence upon its evolution.

This book honors Claude Lévi-Strauss, Carl Jung, Viktor Frankl and Joseph Campbell for their contribution to human evolution.

The Unicist Archetype of Japan

Japan has a very powerful archetype to sustain its ultimate purpose that is growth within a communitarian environment and a deep sense of loyalty.  Thus reliability is a natural consequence.

To understand the Japanese archetype we recommend listening to the lecture you find at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8vxkTozAdE

Cultures that have a strong drive towards growth cannot accept the defeat of their leaders. The elite of the culture needs to represent the values of the archetype.

The purpose of the maximal strategy of the Japanese culture is the expansion of the community based on the members’ pride for their work and sustained by their collective intelligence as a community or group.

Collective intelligence is in Japan the catalyst of their growth. Therefore there is a need for  integrating the values of the community in order to be able to exert collective intelligence.

Individual intelligence is the entropy inhibitor of the Japanese archetype. It allows individuals to adapt to the conditions of the situation in order to achieve growth.

Loyalty is the final purpose of the minimum strategy. This means that individuals who are not loyal to the structure of the society are considered as aliens.

The integration of aliens implies a very slow process in order to avoid the loss of the roots of the culture.

Strong cultures as Japan respect foreigners based on their values and deeds. Dealing with Japan as an outsider is easy if one accepts that one is a foreigner. Respecting its archetype is the first step to deal with the Japanese community.

The Unicist Theory of Evolution and Generational Evolution

How does generational evolution work? Why do many adolescents need addictions? Which is the environment for evolution or involution?

Successors need to overcome their parents. That is the golden rule for social and individual evolution. This implies that the evolution of the next generation depends on its capacity to build upon what already exists.

Metaphorically it can be said that in evolutionary cultures the roof of the parents is the floor of their children. In involutionary cultures the roof of the children is the floor of their parents.

To build upon the existing establishment it is necessary that we all improve the implicit weaknesses of what we have inherited. Extreme competition with the inherited establishment drives to a never ending story of frustration and entropy.

These are some conclusions of the research on Generational Evolution in Societies developed at The Unicist Research Institute. The research began in 1980 with the objective to find explanations to social evolution and to the worldwide expansion of addictions.

The reading of Diana Belohlavek’s book on Talent development is strongly recommended.

When living in parallel realities becomes a need

Parallel realities become a need when individuals cannot deal with their own evolution.

Parallel realities are imaginary situations installed beyond the real world that are built upon fallacious beliefs or needs.

Fallacies are functional to humans. Individual fallacies reduce personal energy consumption, and fallacious utopias ensure the perception that something useful will be done.

While utopias function as action drivers, fallacious utopias function as empty “action promises”. Fundamentalism, considered as an objective characteristic an individual needs to survive, requires “living” in a parallel world to avoid self-perception.

To build this parallel world individuals use their projection capacity to deposit on the environment what they need to perceive in order to feel comfortable.

Addictions, the natural response to hopelessness

Addictions are a natural response to an uncertain environment in which a person feels hopeless, impotent and without identity.

When these conditions are given, individuals enter the shelter of addictions.

Addictions have a secondary benefit to help people to deal with hate, anxiety, illusions and guilt.

Addictions help to deal with these self-destructive feeling in a paradoxical way. While the individual is installed in the parallel world he feels fulfilled, but, after he returns to the real world, he feels worse than before and the need for addictive stimuli rises.

Addictions are infinite. The more unbalanced an individual is, the “heavier” the addictions he adopts.

Considering the level of self-destruction or destruction four segments can be characterized:
1)    Pleasure addictions: providing instants of extreme pleasure.
2)    Rational/spiritual addictions: providing sensation of absolute empowerment.
3)    Suicidal addictions: providing the power of “dancing” beyond human limits.
4)    Terrorist addictions: providing the power of feeling God.

Liberation from guilt: A business as old as humanity

Individuals feel guilty if they cannot overcome what they have inherited.

Guilt corrodes humans’ physical, psychological and spiritual health. Therefore “the liberation of guilt” has been a business that existed since mankind exists. It has been  run from witchdoctors to psychologists.

Psychology opened a new perspective to human health. But it also settled the groundings of extreme individualism. The western hemisphere jumped from a sanctification of parents to blaming them for all the problems individuals have.

The problem of leading cultures and surviving cultures

The problem of the new generations of leading cultures is naturally the feeling of inferiority complexes to overcome the existing culture if they are in a leading environment.

Individuals have two alternatives: build upon the existing establishment or compete with it. Competition drives adolescents to guilt and the response requires needing to hate the situation and the individuals involved in it.

The paradox is that building upon an existing environment is also a competition. Building upon an establishment implies modifying the structure of the implicit weaknesses of a culture. This is something feasible for the next generation unless it was educated in an individualistic environment.

It has to be considered that individualism is the most degraded state of a culture. It implies that the interests of individuals prevail over the interests of the group.

A culture involves when individualism prevails. Surviving cultures include necessarily a dominant individualism. This is not the case of subsistent cultures where the group prevails over individuals. Surviving cultures produce survivors who necessarily are multi-addictive and need to behave as fundamentalists.

Evolution implies paying prices

Accepting the validity of the establishment is a condition for evolution.

Over-adaptation to the establishment implies its sanctification, and drives to the avoidance of the responsibility of improving the environment.

Cultures that foster rebel individualistic behaviors necessarily generate involution. Both over-adaptation and individualistic rebellion drive to involution.

Evolution implies competing with the establishment improving what has been received in order to ensure evolution and create an own place in order to satisfy the personal needs.

The first part, the improvement of what has been received is a work with a social responsibility, the second part deals with the ego of the person who has assumed the responsibility.

A culture is in involution if individuals begin with their own egocentric desires. In both extremes, leading cultures and surviving cultures, addictions of any kind become a natural response.

Guilt liberators produce paradoxical results when they sustain their clients by “insufflating air” into their clients’ ego.

It is up to you. The prices to be paid are never low. You must believe in your capacity and see the implicit weaknesses of what you inherited.

Understanding evolution: The limits of diagnoses

Many diagnoses fail because their application goes beyond the boundaries of their validity.

The research on decision making and diagnosing, developed at The Unicist Research Institute, made the discovery of the logical limits of diagnoses possible.

Diagnoses are human deeds; they reflect the mind models used by those who make the diagnoses. Some of the issues that limit the validity of diagnoses are: common sense, reality awareness, not grounded opinions and the fallacious myths of a culture.

“I don’t know” is the most difficult, less frequently used, but most necessary phrase to be pronounced when making diagnoses.

It is the starting point for accessing the knowledge needed to diagnose.

This changes the paradigms of the validity of knowledge.
