Program for High School Students between 14-17

Abductive reasoning and functionalist principles to expand the mindset of the next generation

This program is for High Schools who are interested in fostering abductive reasoning to access the management of root causes. It is a non-profit program that has been designed for 14 to 17-year-old teenagers. It consists of an introductory micro-clinic where the root causes of the functionality of a computer-game is developed using functionalist principles in a participative work with the students.

The students can participate in a forum where they can exchange experiences.  It expands the possibilities for adopting a functionalist approach to the real world that enables the understanding of the root causes of problems.

Integrating abductive, inductive, and deductive reasoning to solve problems

This activity is a challenge for teenagers, which allows them to understand the roots of the functionality of computer-games using a functionalist approach and transfer this experience to the real world.

Abductive Reasoning gives access to Root Causes

The objective is that the participants learn to envision the roots of Gaming, which demystifies games, diminishes their addictive power, and provides a framework for abductive reasoning.

Abductive reasoning, which is the reasoning process for creativity, was introduced by Charles S. Peirce and allows apprehending the functionality of things. The unicist logic was developed to manage such functionality and provided the rules for abductive reasoning to manage root causes.

The Clinic

To expand the mindset of the next generation
  1. The objective of the clinic is to give teenagers a guiding idea of how to understand the roots of the functionality of things and how to manage the root causes of problems. It is a mind opener for all the participants.
  2. This Clinic is developed as a 90-minute extracurricular activity where the professors and teachers can participate in a passive role.
  3. It is a virtual activity that works on Zoom with interactive participation of the students.
  4. The Clinic is led by a voluntary leader of the program. Voluntary professors and teachers of the participating schools can be trained to manage these clinics.

The Concept of the Program

Expanding the possibilities of the participants

This is part of the transgenerational development non-profit project The Unicist Research Institute is sponsoring that is coordinated by Peter Belohlavek.

It gives adolescents the chance to enter the world with a functionalist approach that can easily be managed by facing the use of computer games going beyond intuition to understand the roots of their functionality.

This program catalyzes the potential of the participants.

What for?

To expand the creativity of the participants

Unicist logical reasoning is the next stage of abductive reasoning. The abductive reasoning approach was developed by Charles S. Peirce who could not relate it with reasoning rules. That is why it could not be systematically included in social education, which is the case of deductive and inductive reasoning.

This problem was solved by the development of the unicist logic that explains the functionality of things. Unicist logical reasoning was developed to use the unicist logic to manage the functionality of the real world. It is somehow related to abductive reasoning because it includes rule based abductive reasoning processes.

How?

Using computer games to empower the next generation

The objective is to experience with the next generation a functionalist approach to computer games that empowers their approach to the real world.

It gives them access to the concepts of things which increases the level of awareness of personal actions and expands the possibilities of dealing with their functionality.

Enjoying the assumption of responsibilities, beyond duties, managing strategies, addressing the future and any kind of actions in adaptive environments require understanding the root causes of problems.

Opening the mind to a structured abductive reasoning approach will open the world of a functionalist approach to the real world and empower a purpose driven approach of the future generations.

The use of Abductive Reasoning

To manage the roots of the functionality of things

Abductive reasoning is not only necessary to manage the functionality of things, but also to deal with the future and with innovations, to develop strategies and to adapt to the environment.

Abductive reasoning, using the unicist logic, was made manageable due to the development of the unicist functionalist design method that manages the functionalist principles that define the roots of the functionality of things and the root causes of processes.

This enables designing and building reliable solutions in adaptive environments.
