Religious Democracies: Understanding Afghanistan and other Countries

The chaos generated in Afghanistan in August 2021, is a demonstration that there are cultures where there is a concept of religious democracy that differs totally from the concept of democracy of the developed counties of the West.

Religious democracy is a special case that refers to cultures or institutions that are centrally ruled by their religious beliefs. Their functionality does not deal with the social, economic and political aspects but with the transcendent, moral and political aspects.

Religious Democracy

The purpose of a religious democracy is to sustain the supernatural and natural transcendence of the members of a society. This transcendence is materialized in the morality of the members. The role of its political democracy is to ensure that the morality of the actions drives towards transcendence.

This implies that social democracy is implicit in the attitude towards transcendence and the economic scenario is acted out by the moral-driven actions of a community.

Their Functional Drivers

The driver of a religious democracy is to foster the supernatural transcendence of the members of a culture. This driver makes individual actions become extremely powerful because of the need to fulfill the religious beliefs to achieve this goal.

The supernatural transcendence implies a personal transcendence for those individuals who participate and the recognition of the community, which allows individuals to achieve a transcendent role integrating the supernatural, the personal and the social transcendence.

This fulfills the need of all members of a religious democracy and allows managing the transcendence in the materialistic world following the rules of morality that are implicit.

Religious fundamentalism becomes necessary when religious democracy cannot satisfy the immanent needs of a culture. It drives the culture beyond materialistic needs to provide a superior level of satisfaction. Learn more:

Unicist anthropology: the bipartisanism in the United States

The bipartisanism is a natural model in the United States because it integrates the unified field of the culture based on the strength of the culture nucleus.

The binary actions of democracy in bipartisan countries requires that the party that sustains the government develops the necessary active function actions to grow while the opposition develops the energy conservation functions that cover the implicit weaknesses of the government and sustain the evolution of democratic efficiency.

There are different political parties in the world. Political parties are not necessarily organized as formal institutions. Basically, from a functional point of view there are 4 types of political participative structures:

1) One-party cultures
2) Bipartisanism driven cultures
3) Dualistic political cultures
4) Multiparty cultures

The archetypes of countries define the type of democracy they have and the quantity of political parties that participate in the government. Each culture requires using a consistent model of democratic evolution.

50-year Plan: The Political Marketing of New Candidates

The introduction of 50-year development plans requires the participation of politicians who are willing to support a long-term plan while they are part of the evolution.

Democracy is defined as a social system (not only political), where the purpose is to work with consensus in an efficient system, which is able to make the necessary trade-offs to maintain consensus and efficiency to govern a community.

It is driven by a legislative power, put into action by an executive power, and equilibrated by a judicial power. The integrated functionality of the three powers is the core of democratic organization. This applies to any type of political organization in democratic cultures.

The Evolution of Democracy

The evolution of democratic cultures is based on their capacity to evolve in the environment according to the needs to be installed in the world in an adaptive way. The word that is used to define this role is “sustainable globalization”, where the final purpose is sustaining the national interests of a culture.

The introduction of new leaders is what makes democracy dynamic. The introduction of new political leaders happens in a natural way when a culture is in evolution.

Cultures that are in transition tend to “expect” leaders who assume the role of “messiahs” to end with the transition and install a new stage. Cultures are in transition until they have established a dynamic functional cultural archetype that ensures their evolution in the environment. Cultures in transition might have “timeless” governments to avoid entering chaos.

Political Campaigns for Individual Candidates

Newcomers in the political arena provide the next stage in political evolution. They provide the new visions of the world when they are driven by a greater good. Their entrance in politics is driven by the greater good they propose. Their entrance is successful if their preceding reputation makes the worthful.

This reputation establishes the influence on specific segments where they are perceived as a first-choice candidate. Their success fully depends on their capacity to propose a greater good that fits into the latent needs of the society based on the reputation they gained in this field.

They need to earn their place in the political system of their community to be able to influence it. When this has been achieved, their positioning as first choice and their political influence enables gaining voters that allow them to achieve a position in the political system.

MDD Project: Startups vs. Butterfly Companies

Depending on the width of the application field of the innovation, there is a notorious difference between businesses that are built upon an invention or discovery. There is a high risk of building a butterfly company when the innovation has a specific use with a specific added value.

A butterfly company is defined as a business that has a beginning and an end within a short timeframe. Only innovations that create a category that has social added value where the trends expand their use can be considered as start-up businesses. A category has been created when a new concept has been installed.

If you read the history of Google, Apple, Ford, Siemens, Facebook, etc. you will find the description of startups that became corporations. There is no difference between them and the creation of a startup based on an innovation that has notorious social value, where the IP can be protected and that is able to build a growing market.

Isolated inventions need to be managed as opportunities that will be absorbed by the market and where the creators can make a larger or smaller profit depending on their negotiation capacity.

MDD Project – Country Brand

The empowerment of the value of country brands is basic to manage sustainable globalization and exerting diplomatic power. When we talk about country brand we mean the value behind a single phrase or word: “made in Germany, USA, Taiwan, China, Japan, etc.” or the name of the country as a representation of its values.

Microeconomics driven development requires the empowerment of the brand of the country that decides to expand, which implies a definition where the country will be competing and how.

Brands are defined by the expectation of added value they generate, the uniqueness of their attributes and the consistency of their actions. The empowerment of country brands requires managing the concept, and of the under-promising and overdelivering attitude to install a consistent brand.

It requires several decades of significant investment in communication to empower a country brand which needs to be believed the members of the community in order to be consistent.

To be consistent, it is necessary that those aspects of the society that are chosen as representative of a countries positioning assume a world class positioning. The amplitude of the meaning of “world” defines the functionality of the brand.

Facileness, the Driver of Involution

Facileness is an addiction that is installed in over-adaptive environments, which drives their stagnation and/or involution. This behavior is driven by the submission to the fallacious myths of a society, is acted out by the actions of transferring risks and costs to others and is sustained by the avoidance of conflicts.

Facileness

Facileness is necessarily short-term oriented and cannot deal with structural approaches, institutionalization, the root causes of problems or strategic approaches to reality.

Proposing utopias, making shortcuts, subjectifying, “buying time”, lying and denying facts are typical actions in facileness driven environments.

Facileness, as an addiction, is fully unconscious and develops the necessary defenses to maintain the status quo while following the fallacious myths of the environment.

As an addiction, it creates a parallel reality in the world where only those who share this addiction can participate as leaders.

The submission to the fallacious myths proposes behaviors that avoid facing the weaknesses that cannot be accepted by the environment.

Social Facileness

This social behavior is installed as an addiction in environments that are natural resources dependent without assuming an active role to increase the value of the resources.

It is also installed in extremely poor over-adaptive environments.

Facileness profits by transferring risks and cost to others, which installs distrust in the environment and reinforces an extremely individualistic behavior.

As conflicts are drivers of changes, this addiction requires avoiding conflicts to ensure that the parallel reality is not endangered.

The “Peers in the World” Program to minimize Facileness

Minimizing facileness is a basic condition for social development and requires that the leaders of the environment feel that they are “Peers in the World”, which do not need to be submissive or oppositional to evolve.

This requires that they have an adaptive attitude, which means that they feel they can influence the environment while they are influenced by it.

The development of a “Peers in the World” attitude requires promoting a strategic approach to reality among young leaders of the environment in a way that they can perceive short-term results while a long-term approach is introduced.

The Unicist Logic is an emulation of the ontogenetic intelligence of nature

The Unicist Logic is a synthetic logic that emulates the ontogenetic intelligence of nature and its maximal strategies to grow and minimum strategies to survive.

It was developed to validate the triadic functionality of natural and artificial complex adaptive systems and to design and build binary actions to manage them.

The unicist logic was developed to manage consciously the unified field of complex adaptive systems. Conscious reasoning allows developing fallacy-free decisions and actions to ensure the results of what intends to be achieved.

This logic, which is based on human ontointelligence, allows dealing with the dynamics, evolution and nature of adaptive environments and provided the structure to build the unicist artificial intelligence. Non-adaptive environments are considered a “particular case” of adaptive systems.

The unicist logic allows understanding the functionality, dynamics and evolution of adaptive systems and environments. It is the basic knowledge needed to develop strategies in these environments. It applies to any kind of strategies.

Social Catalysts, the Accelerators of Social Evolution

All developed, developing and emergent cultures use social objects to foster their evolution. Social objects are “encapsulated” entities that regulate the functionality of cultures. Laws, regulations, and social, economic and political systems, including institutions, and organizations of any kind, are examples of social objects.

Objects in Adaptive Environments

The social functions are regulated by driving, inhibiting and entropy inhibiting objects. The catalysts are part of the restricted context of the process that is being catalyzed, while the gravitational objects are part of the wide context. These catalysts need to be redundant with the gravitational objects that sustain the basic framework of the functions involved.

In developed cultures, legality and legitimacy tend to be overlapped. These cultures use driving, inhibiting, entropy inhibiting, catalyzing and gravitational objects that establish the framework and administrate the operational rules of the environment. See “Microeconomics driven Development” www.unicist.net/economics/participate

The gravitational objects, like the constitution of a country, establish the basic framework of a culture considered as a system. The catalyzing objects establish the acceleration that ensures the synchronicity of actions for the evolution of any adaptive system.

The drivers, inhibitors and entropy inhibitors establish the operational rules that have to be followed to be part of the system.

The Unicist Evolutionary Approach is the Antidote to Facileness in Leadership

Facileness degrades, marginalizes and kills social evolution. As is has been researched, facileness is the root cause that underlies involving environments and business failures. It oversimplifies reality by transferring risks and costs to others and avoiding conflicts. This makes the solution of the root causes of problems unnecessary and degrades the value propositions, the reliability and the brand attributes of any culture or business.

The Unicist Evolutionary Approach

While facileness generates involution through short-term maximization, the unicist evolutionary approach drives and catalyzes evolution.

The unicist evolutionary approach avoids facileness by designing processes as a unified field, using value adding strategies, building objects to ensure results and developing pilot tests to confirm their functionality and learn from the environment.

The concepts and fundamentals that underlie social and business functions are the root-drivers of their functionality. The eventual dysfunctionality of the fundamentals is the root-cause of the problems of these functions.

This is an approach that catalyzes the adaptability of cultures and business, their speed of growth in an environment of customer orientation and sustainability. It is the necessary microeconomic approach in the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Thought Experiments in Complexity Science Research

People can manage those problems whose solutions they are able to emulate in mind. Different functional intelligences allow emulating different types of solutions. This process was named “Thought Experiment” and has be come a popular domain through Albert Einstein’s work.

Thought Experiment – Gedankenexperiment: Albert Einstein, one of the greatest minds of the 20th century, forever changed the landscape of science by introducing revolutionary concepts that shook our understanding of the physical world. One of Einstein’s most defining qualities was his remarkable ability to conceptualize complex scientific ideas by imagining real-life scenarios. He called these scenarios Gedankenexperiments, which is German for thought experiments. (Ali Sundermier) – Nikola Tesla’s researches and developments are also paradigmatic examples of this approach to science and problem solving.

The unicist approach was developed to build structural solutions in adaptive environments. This requires emulating reality in mind.

Unicist Solution Thinking

This emulation is materialized in the building of a model that has to be homologous to the real world. This model must allow envisioning a specific functional reality and also experiencing it.

The unicist approach to the emulation of reality is homologous to the thought experimental approach.

The unicist approach implies an action-reflection-action process that requires finding the root causes of facts and emulating in mind the solutions that upgrade the previous stage.

Unicist reflection requires the use of destructive tests to define the limits of the validity of knowledge or solutions. The unicist destructive tests are based on self-criticism, which fosters personal improvement, and includes a spontaneous amending attitude and the capacity of laughing at oneself.

The unicist reflection process is a sort of thought experiment, that basically deals with finding or managing the root causes of real problems and the root drivers of real solutions. This reflection process is a destructive and non-destructive tests driven process.

The unicist approach, that is homologous to the processes used by Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla, integrates the development of destructive and non-destructive tests with the unicist reverse engineering method and the unicist reflection methodology to develop solutions.

This needs to be sustained by a solution thinking focus that uses an ontological approach to apprehend the concepts involved.
