Unicist Logical Approach

The use of business catalysts in commercial processes

Unicist commercial catalysts influence the use of inner freedom. The installation of catalysts in commercial processes only works if the catalysts have a superior ethical approach that allows buyers exerting a higher level of decision freedom.

Mental processes are catalyzed by questions. But there is no catalysis if the questions posed generate answers. Catalysis is only produced when questions are responded with other questions.

This implies that the catalysts of mental process are the questions that are asked by the individual her/himself and not the one posed by others.

Only individuals who have inner freedom are able to ask themselves questions without feeling pushed. The proactive questions individuals have are the demonstration of inner freedom in action.

Affirmations, posed as fuzzy facts allow generating questions in the mind of the recipient of a communication. That is why fuzzy affirmations, with a superior ethical content, are the natural catalysts of commercial processes.

Only individuals focused on the true customer’s needs are able to use commercial catalysts.

The Unicist Ontology of Inner Freedom

Inner freedom is the capacity of individuals to assume the responsibility they have, making conscious adapted decisions.

IUnicist Ontology of Inner Freedomnner freedom can be earned by those individuals who are able to assume the responsibility for their adapted actions in an environment being able to leave aside their own needs when making decisions.

People have lost their freedom when needs drive their actions.

Therefore, inner freedom is something people gain step by step, if they are able to pay the prices, or lose step by step, if they need to impose their rules.

It can be said that inner freedom is a utopia when instinctive needs, emotional needs and social values are sort of inhibitors for inner freedom.

Individuals who achieved inner freedom can make accurate decisions based on their capacity to do and to discriminate their inside from the outside which allows them to assume the individual, social and transcendent responsibility.

Building Corporate Universities as Unicist Business Objects

In-company Corporate Universities are an extremely powerful business object to promote growth and measurable monetary results.

Originally, they were derived from academic and training activities providing know-how to the members of organizations. But some differentiated technological companies began to use them also to expand their businesses. Thus Corporate Universities began to work as business objects.

The Unicist Research Institute developed Corporate Universities as business objects, integrating the three objects that define their functionality:
1)    The driving object for know-how transfer
2)    The catalyzing object to accelerate actions in the market
3)    The gravitational object to structure authoritative differentiation in the market

Driving objects: Empirical approach

The driving Corporate Universities need to transfer empiric know-how to their participants.

Empirical knowledge is the core of this activity and analogous benchmarking is the natural approach to unknown operational practices.

They need to be developed in operational/analytical language in order to deal with the business operation.

Catalyzing objects: Systemic approach

The catalyzing Corporate Universities have to transfer knowledge on the technologies that sustain operational know-how.

Systemic knowledge is the core of catalyzing CU and the use of homologous (conceptual) benchmarking allows integrating unknown technologies in a new field of action.

They need to be developed in analytical/scientific language in order to deal with the innovative technology that is behind the operation.

Gravitational objects: Ontological approach

The gravitational Corporate Universities are built to provide essential knowledge to deal with the business.

They need to provide this knowledge in a way that the concepts dealt with become obvious and self-evident for the mass. They do not use benchmarks but metaphors to approach unknown fields.

They need to be developed in conceptual language in order to deal with the nature that underlies the business.

The lack of know-how defines the need for the driving function. This function becomes unnecessary as soon as the know-how has been acquired.

It has to be considered that innovation sustains the use of social catalysts and catalyzing objects. The catalyzing effect disappears when an innovation has been adopted by the environment. Therefore, catalysts need to be replaced when they are “worn out”.

Gravitational objects are stable because the essential aspects of businesses imply an endless discovering process.

Power and knowledge have an extremely conflictive relationship. That is why Corporate Universities are contraindicated for power centered businesses.

We want to remark that In-Company Corporate Universities designed as Business Objects have to be learning and not teaching centered.

Unicist Tweetinars for knowledge building

Unicist Tweetinars opened a new filed of knowledge building, sharing and learning in the field in which synthetic language is necessary to produce results.

The use of question based knowledge building is the natural way to approach adaptive systems which demand conceptual approaches in order to influence them.

Ontologies provide the necessary structures; ontological analysis provides the conceptual analytical tools and fundamentals establish the necessary action algorithms to influence business environments.

The precision of the use of language, the integration with facts and the development of reflection capacity are the three aspects that need to be considered when using Twitter as a knowledge building communication tool.

Business Diagnostics: Why are there so many failures?

More than 80% of the new businesses disappear within the first 2 years in the USA.

We have to consider the concepts implicit in  Sun Tzu’s sayings:

Every battle is won or lost before it is ever fought.

——-

“If you know the enemy and know yourself,
you need not fear the result of hundred battles.
If you know yourself but not the enemy,
for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.
If you know neither the enemy nor yourself,
you will succumb in every battle.”

If we accept the basic laws of Sun Tzu, there is no doubt that companies disappear because they really do not know what the business is about.

Are you starting a business? Be sure that you know your enemies, your friends and yourself.

A Metaphor on the Ethics of the Unicist Confederation

Businesses require a very special use of ethical intelligence. On the one hand, there is a need to build complementation with the clients in order to establish stable relationships.

On the other hand, there is an implicit or explicit confrontation with the competitors which means a sort of war.

Diplomacy, implying “war in peace”, is a necessary activity to manage businesses. It allows preparing the context to build complementation with potential clients and to avoid explicit confrontations with competitors.

Ethical intelligence defines the level individuals are able to “fly”.

1) Solopreneurs are “parachuters” that can only deal with punctual opportunities and then need to get on board of another’s airplane to make the next jump.
2) Small entrepreneurs can only deal with niche markets and cannot grow because they need to “feel” that “they” are flying the airplane.
3) Entrepreneurs can deal with markets because they accept the existence of co-pilots and passengers.
4) Enterpriser can manage global markets using the necessary technology to have a safe flight. Their main concerns are the comfort of their passengers and the fulfillment of the goals.

The level individuals are able to fly is inversely proportional to the needs of their ego.

The lower people fly, the more they need to be right.

“Cooperation in diversity” says that

it is up to you

The discovery of ethical intelligence made by Peter Belohlavek at The Unicist Research Institute opened new possibilities to influence individuals’ evolution.

It demonstrates that the ethics of individuals depend only on them and the prices they are willing to pay.

The inconsistencies of ethical intelligence explain most of the business problems.

Ethical intelligence in business defines the value adding possibilities, the influence on the environment, time management, strategic planning and focusing.

A business is consistent when the individuals dealing with it have the ethics required by the activity.

When the ethics is inferior to what is needed, it necessarily inhibits growth installing a “business growth virus” in the organization.

If the ethics used by individuals is superior to what is needed, they install a “business profit virus” in the organization that increases costs and affects profitability.

We hope to be able to influence the business world in order to work consistently with the ethics that is necessary for each type of business leaving meaningless “moralism” and value judgments aside.

This generates added value that fosters growth and saves energy. We owe this to the next generations.

A final suggestion in this sense:

If you feel sore give,
giving you will recover…

Thank you for your support.

Cooperation in diversity: the basis for problem solving

Complex problem solving sometimes drives to opposite and incompatible positions.

These opposite positions provoke three possible behaviors:

1)  Denying the problem

2) Using analysis to seek for solutions

3)  The integration of the opposite positions at a superior level

1) The denial of the problem

Avoiding conflicts drives naturally towards inaction. Therefore denial is a conflictive way to destroy businesses in the short or long run. Confronting at an operational level is a sophisticated way of denial, it provides a natural way to avoid responsibility.

2) Analytical solutions for the problem

Analyzing problems is functional when some of the parts involved are wrong. This implies that in fact there is no confrontation: one is right and the other is wrong. If that is the case the division of the problem into parts allows defining what is right.

When both parts are right and the difference is given by a non-compatible and not evident final purpose, analysis drives towards discussing the parts instead of solving the problem in its oneness. In this case the solution is necessarily a downgraded compromise.

3) Integration of the opposite

Integrating the opposite positions into a superior solution requires having the knowledge of the fundamentals of the solution.

At least one of the parts needs to have the conceptual knowledge but both parts need to consider that the other position might be right. This approach upgrades the solution developed.

Cooperation in diversity, the motto of the Unicist Confederation is the formalization of the use of the differences to upgrade the value delivered to the market.

Cooperation necessarily follows competition: “if cooperation is the starting point utopias will be the end”.

If competition prevails, inaction or degradation are the consequence but the personal risk of the competitors is not endangered.

Cooperation in diversity implies being able to integrate the evolution conflicts with power conflicts and with involution conflicts in order to transform them into actions to produce solutions for the parts involved.

Unicist Standard 2011 for Unicist Confederation’s Members

The Unicist Standard to be used by the members of the Unicist Confederation beginning on January 3, 2011 has been integrated in the Unicist Monitor for Business Intelligence.

This implies an upgrade in the work procedures that allows developing the technical analytical solutions for the clients in any part of the world while there is a centralized quality assurance and a local customer, project and implementation management.

It is the first year that the standard includes the information of the “clinic history” of the clients and the complexity research system in order to be able to decentralize in a team the diagnosing and strategy building activity.

The traditional Factbook to develop the descriptive and static diagnoses is also included in the Unicist Monitor.

The first project that will be managed using the upgraded standard is the “Taking Advantage of Cloud Computing”. You can find the project at:  https://www.unicist-school.org/complexity-sciences/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/cloud_computing_wsd_en.pdf

What is the Unicist Standard in Business for?

The Unicist Standard (US) in business has been developed for diagnosing, strategy building, conceptual design and conceptual planning. It includes the correspondent fundamentals and taxonomies. Dealing with the nature of businesses implies necessarily managing a fundamental approach and a technical analytical approach.

The US is a structure of procedures and norms to manage adaptive systems using the Unicist Algorithms. The final goal of the Unicist Standard is to develop “Unicist Objects” and Unicist Algorithms to manage complex adaptive systems such as businesses and future scenarios. It is based on more than 3,500 researches in complexity sciences developed since 1976 until September 2010.

Some of its Business applications:

-For Sales Improvement
-For Network Marketing
-For Market-share Growth

-For New/ Start-up Businesses
-For Business Diagnostics
-For Business Strategy
-For Business Growth

-For Quality Improvement
-For Productivity Improvement
-For Continuous Improvement
-For Innovation Management

-For Outsourcing
